Nuclear fallout, Nadav Kander

I suggest anyone who doesn't agree with your assessment of Off! to listen to Keith Morris attempt to be profound by expounding some super generic and dated insight(i.e. Dubya is evil and the Iraq War is immoral) between songs at a free show sponsored by Red Bull. They're not hard to come across.

food should be free. water should be free. housing should be free. power, fuel, electricity should be free. basic necessities should be free.

the idea of “people should have to work for a living” carries the implication that some people deserve to die

Well, kinda. All those things come from someone having to work in some way and those people need to be compensated somehow, correct? Even before this whole system was created people had to hunt, forge, find shelter and so on, which all took work. The idea that other people need to work for you and you should only have to work for luxuries is kind of preposterous. Even in line with socialism that doesn’t work. Everyone has to contribute in some way. Don’t get it twisted, I know there are those less fortunate and I’m not trying to preach social Darwinism but people have always needed to work to survive.

I wear my band's shirts because fuck you I paid to print these and put out these records suck my dick

It’s like buying a shirt at the store. But buying 200 of them.

Why on Earth wouldn’t you wear one?

Yeah I wear my bands’ merch all the time. Whatever.

Pumzi - dir. Wanuri Kahiu // Kenya

In a dystopian future 35 years after an ecological WWIII  has torn the world apart, East African survivors of the devastation remain locked away in contained communities, but a young woman in possession of a germinating seed struggles against the governing council to bring the plant to Earth’s ruined surface.

The main character is a museum curator in the future and also yes I would like see this now please

THERE IS NOTHING ABOUT THIS I DON’T LIKE

The complete short film is on youtube and it’s really good and the end kind of took my breath away.
